Kids Summer Festival Performance Art Video

As part of 21st Century Kids Summer Festival On Tour in Cooktown on Saturday 15th January 2011 the 'Cooktown Catastrophic Crazy Kids or CCCK'as named by kids and Cooktown Art present this short Performance Art Film.

All materials and ideas for art activities supplied to Cooktown School of Art Society Elizabeth Guzsely Gallery by Queensland Art Gallery - Gallery of Modern Art.  See http://qag.qld.gov.au/exhibitions/travelling/regional_services/21st_Century_on_Tour

One activity proposed by New Zealand artist Campbell Patterson, who makes videos of himself that are funny, odd and fascinating,  invited kids to watch his video, ‘Lifting my mother for as long as I can’, then complete the challenges and think of  funny activities they could perform.  As a result the kids thought up the activities that we filmed and made into this performance art video.
